Bolsonaro’s silence shadows Lula’s victory in Brazil; echoes of past tragedies in South Korea after Halloween stampede; How the Media Trains Journalists to Lie
Re: "teaching newspapers to lie", you did not mention that 90% of the media in the United States is controlled by just six corporations: AT&T, CBS, Comcast, Disney, Newscorp and Viacom, as of May 9, 2022. Are you saying that this is the group that calls for CRT?
As long as the legacy media views itsself as crusaders for the progressive world and the woke view on issues such as race, gender and climate, it is not worth reading.
The thing that's wrong with being wrong is not being wrong per se, but persisting in being wrong when it's clear you're wrong, then working hard to suppress the news that you're wrong, which is very wrong.
I need to correct the author. Donald Trump did not declare journalists to be "the enemy of the people." He told us that "fake news is the enemy of the people." That so many journalists took offense at a self-evident truth and identified with "fake news" is most revealing.
The legacy media has become the de facto propaganda arm of the Democratic Party as well as its ideological enforcers. They will attempt to destroy anyone in their service to whatever is the One True Narrative of the moment. They should be treated accordingly, meaning always with scorn and mistrust, but best ignored if possible.
