Thank you, thank you for today’s The Back Page. You have perfectly captured exactly what is going on in Israel now. The crux of the issue is that every other democracy in the world chooses Supreme Court justices based on what government is in power. The idea that judges are choosing other judges for the Supreme Court is insane. I also don’t understand why Israelis are still demonstrating after October 7th. Actually I shouldn’t say I don’t understand because I have an Israeli friend who is participating in these demonstrations. We have been friends for over thirty years but I’ve had it. Our last conversation was contentious because I finally asked her why she is still living in Israel if she hates it so much. I can’t take it anymore. Our previous kingdoms were doomed by inter-fighting amongst each other, this cannot happen again.
Sadly we all have the same friends. One of mine has three sons who are all doctors and she told me she hopes they all leave Israel. What's wrong with these people?
We are told ad nauseum that universities are the repositories of all that is good and true in science and to question the federal funding is tantamount to destroying western civilization. So was this black baby bunk study federally funded? We don’t seem to get particulars on just what this research is that’s in jeopardy. Would be nice to know dontcha think?
I can't wait until all the money from USAID and other corrupt NGOS, that went to destroy Israel, is uncovered. Months ago I read that IDF leaders go to the Wexner Inst and go back to Israel as traitors. That might be a puzzle piece too. All of this MUST be investigated, tried, and punished.
The premise of Iranian military pushback against the US has been a farcical kayfabe for decades, will be nice to see it revealed and the potential myths vaporized.
The entire “Signal-gate” nonsense is just becoming boring. Obviously they just want to take down Waltz, or Hegseth, or anyone for that matter so they can wag their severed head around on prime time CNN.
What they REALLY should be worried about was the NYT’s article exposing their antics in operation for the duration of the Ukraine/Russia war, running the entire war from laptops in the Pentagon, ordering the Ukrainians around like peasants, and crossing redline and after redline bringing us to the brink of nuclear war for the last 3+ years.
Hopefully the Trump administration will make great hay of it, if they’re smart.

There is zero Constitutional right of any university to receive federal funds, and no way on earth would it be illegal to withdraw them.
