No, Trump was explicitly talking about the Charllotesville demonstration that resulted in the death of one and scores of others injured. There's no question about that. Further there was nobody at the "Unite the Right" rally innocently under any illusion it was about anything other than white supremacy. Trump repeatedly described the counter-protesters, mainly citizens of Charlottesville with with a minor contingent of ANTIFA types as equally culpable for the violence that occurred at a rally organized by white nationalists, neo-Nazis and Klansman with an inexhaustive list comprising of such peaceful groups as : Stormer Book Clubs (SBCs) of The Daily Stormer, The Right Stuff, the National Policy Institute, the Nationalist Front, the neo-Confederate League of the South and Identity Dixie, the neo-Nazi groups Traditionalist Worker Party, Vanguard America, and the National Socialist Movement. The Loyal White Knights and the Confederate White Knights branches of the KKK along with the Fraternal Order of Alt-Knights.
The far right fascist folks have been ugly cretins for decades and will never change. HOWEVER, they are NOT the majority of Conservatives, unlike on the Left- they have always been redneck, fringe-dwelling trash. Your hypocrisy is stunning- Donald Trumps daughter and son in law are Orthodox Jews. He needs votes just like Joe Biden, and both of them are going to pander to whatever base they have. This administration is as woke as it gets in issuing a statement relying in moral equivalence about the anti Semitic riots and investigations of ISF units based on the allegations of equally woke or self hating Jewish groups
There should be a Chapter 11 type reorganization for universities but without the debt forgiveness: new management comes in, rejects previous tenure obligations,streamlines personnel and devises a new business plan.
