There needs to be an off ramp for china to capitulate without losing major face or at least making it seem so. Perhaps that’s what the latest discussion by Trump lessening tariffs somewhat is all about.

This. I suspect that most Americans don’t understand the severe importance in the appearance of respect AKA “face” in the culture of the Chinese people and especially government powers. It’s equally as important to them as “winning” is to an American.

Trump has resumed weapon shipments to Israel and not attempted to hinder or influence actions in Gaza, plus has approved more attacks against the Houthis than did Biden. Hope Trump knows what he is doing concerning Iran.

Trump’s “talks” with Iran, I think, are a stall tactic, having everything to do with his real talks going on with Russia attempting to bring the war in Ukraine to an end. Russia has become deeply entwined with Iran over the last three years because of that war, in many mutually beneficial ways.

If you ask me, it’s the intransigence of the EU that is the true wrench in both of these Trump efforts, Iran and the war in Ukraine. The EU is coaching and egging on Zelensky’s defiance to virtually any peace deal, an intransigence which dangerously dominoes into a plethora of other serious ongoing global situations.

I also think such stonewalling and obstruction can be traced to the utter irrational level of TDS they all, most especially Ursula Von derDevil suffer from, and to hell with the potentially cataclysmic consequences.
