Not sure what to think except I have heard many pretty words from Democrats that made me feel good in the moment but the reality of the policies were very very bad. I have also heard many ugly words from Republicans that made me feel bad in the moment but the reality of the policies were very very good.
I disagree with most of the content about Harris and the Democrat party. To me, it has become largely undemocratic and against the culture and creed our society has been built on.
The Democrats are quicksand for Jews and Israel. Step in and find out. Democrats do not care about anything but power. They toss aside anybody no longer useful to them. Look at the working class, women, Jews, even Joe Biden, nominally the President. Biden was betrayed. Of course the Democrats betrayed America long before they shivved Dementia Joe. Biden was essentially tossed on the garbage heap of history by his party. If he wasn’t such a corrupt cretin, I’d feel sorry for him.
Trying to hang on to one’s Democrat affiliation at all costs makes no sense in the face of their assent to Jew hatred. If you like being gaslighted and given crumbs of false affection before further betrayal, seek psychiatric attention immediately. If promoting endless abortion is your core concern, you need a real rabbi and a conscience. If the Democrats win, we will become more like the UK and France.

I have to approach this election as if America and the world depended on the outcome. I will look at each party’s platform, direction, and history as a box, to be viewed on the outside from many angles and perspectives. I have to look past the candidates’ flaws, and disregard the spin created by biased media. And I have to consider there’s a lot that I don’t know. But I owe it to this nation to do no less.

Amazing how the protests “calmed down” for the convention and yea…here we are back at the schools again. I don’t like Trump. I became an independent years ago and voted for the candidate I believed to be the best choice in all elections. What to do? I am not voting for the democratic ticket. But, after January 6, I have to be convinced to vote for Trump. Bear with me on this next tangent: I like to watch old series, something fun at the end of a day. I started watching Northern Exposure and have been enjoying it from a new perspective all these years later….Joel Fleischman is so unabashedly a proud NY Jewish MD…there have been some interesting episodes, one where he has dreams of his Polish great great grandfather, I think Elijah takes him there to his seder? Somewhere in season 3. Anyway, jump to season 4, Uncle Manny dies and Joel wants to recite Kaddish for him. Maurice organized the great hunt for a minyan - and Joel stops him at number 8 with the proclamation that the town IS his community, he doesn’t need a minyan of Jews, and then gets up at a podium and says Kaddish. Ummmmm. OK. While I appreciated the sentiment, I felt a bigger deeper issue was missed here. That no matter where we are, we are one people, and the idea that strangers would come together for this is what makes it special. I am sure there are other ideas of reference I have missed/not expressed here. This is the way I felt after listening to what occurred at the convention…nice thoughts, but missing the point of it all by trying to please everyone.
Very Provocative. However, I'm stanchly prochoice and pro-Israel and anti the convicted felon. I'm glad Harris came out pro-Israel in her speech. I hope it's not just words.

She is by no means on God’s good earth pro-Israel. Don’t believe it for a minute.
She ignored Netanyahu’s speech and then barely gave him 2 minutes later on just for a photo-op. She detests him and Israel.
Trump is also pro choice and pro Israel and is only guilty of a misdemeanor. Maybe.
Also, Trump created the Abraham Accords, the most pro-Israel accomplishment in 50 years, worthy of a (real) Nobel Prize.
