Even if Colby is confirmed I think his views re China Iran and Israel won’t matter because it’s Trump’s views that count in this administration.

May the memories of Shiur Ariel and Kfir be a blessing and may Israel never give in to these two legged animals

Disturbances like we saw in Boro Park are attempts at intimidation that must be met by all aspects of law enforcement and if not will be seen in every major Jewish neighborhood God forbid

Just another excellent piece from Lee Smith. Colby is a “Democrat” and simply a continuation of Obama policy which of course is completely incoherent. I respect Vance and Musk, but pray that Tom Cotton, Rubio, Hegseth, Stefanik, Waltz, Radcliffe and others prevail. There is no question that there’s a fox in the hen house. Hopefully it’s about keeping your enemies close.

In The Free Press’ Bari Weiss’ address to the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship, she argued that “the far left destroyed the center-left in America,” and that the center-right must resist the same fate by its own extreme flank by “polic[ing] its ranks” and “defend[ing] its sacred values”: “[American] values are not left or right. They are foundational. They are civilizational. And they have always required constant vigilance to preserve. But that’s not the sense you get online these days — and some places offline, too — where power is celebrated instead of principle. Where power is quickly becoming the only principle. If that continues without being challenged, we may wind up spending the next few years watching the same story we just lived through on the other side, as the far right (not the one defined by cable news, which includes most of us here today) devours what remains of the center-right.”

Bari ignores one giant fact.

The far left that ate centrist liberals for breakfast have significant funding and control over many important institutions.

The far right ghost that she fears has zero money and zero control of any important institutions.

Come on guys, 2 trillion is more than the government spends on all discretionary spending, and they've said they won't touch non discretionary spending, so you can't use that to calculate how much people would get in a dividend. You gotta push back on these guys a little.

Conceptually, they could be talking about eliminating fraud and waste, not reducing benefits. If so, there is probably a lot of potential in Social Security and Medicaid. I do like the idea of using proceeds to pay for a tax refund.

But you're right, $2T out of ~$6T sounds unrealistic.

If Colby is for a continuation of Obama/Biden’s policies, then Colby does not need Cotton's vote as Colby should get votes from Democrats for confirmation. If this is not the case, why wouldn't Democrats vote for Colby?

"The reason Republican senators had a problem with Colby is because he is in effect a Democrat."

- President Trump was a Democrat most of his adult life.

- Musk voted for Biden. Democrat.

- Rogan voted for Biden. Democrat.

- Kennedy, Democrat of course.

Oddly enough, being a Democrat doesn't necessarily disqualify you; though in most cases it should.

Today Trump said of himself, "Long live the King." He wasn't joking. He's never joking when it comes to power.

Republicans’ sycophantic support demonstrates that Trump’s autocratic (or monarchic) ranting isn’t merely him going rogue; it’s a distinct rhetorical feature of his entire administration, which has already set to work uprooting the checks and balances that underpin American democracy, and replacing it with something wholly different.

On Tuesday night, Elon Musk claimed that “if the will of the president is not implemented, and the president is representative of the people, that means the will of the people is not being implemented. And that means we don’t live in a democracy, we live in a bureaucracy.”

It’s not a bureaucracy Americans need fear, but a monarchy. TNR

I don’t care how much $$ Elon & company think they’re going to save and return (ha!) to taxpayers. It’s blood money; I know of 3 federal employees who have committed suicide following terminations in the past week.

So, because they didn’t have the resources to endure being fired they should’ve remained employed? Are you trolling?

Care to provide links to the obituaries?

What an impact that must have, how often do people kill themselves after getting fired who aren't covering something up?
