I don't think the renaming is necessary (and I hope Trump doesn't change Denali back to Mt. McKinley, for example), but I am entertained by the proposal. It feels like a silly, over-the-top form of patriotism that quite honestly is a bit refreshing, as someone who has recently left the Left and all of its institutionalized shame.
Howard is a troubling choice because he is an IC insider-I don't think he has the intestiional fortitude to clean up one of the most malfunctioning Deep State agencies
Jewish leaders warned on Tuesday that Meta's new community-driven fact-checking system "will open the floodgates to content" that could target Jewish communities and individuals, calling the move a "step back" in the fight against rising antisemitism, Jewish Insider’s Haley Cohen reports. The warnings came in response to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement yesterday, just days before President-elect Donald Trump takes office, that the social media giant is ending its third-party fact-checking program and replacing it with a community-driven system modeled after the Community Notes feature on Elon Musk's X.
Learn from experience: “The introduction of Meta’s new Community Notes feature must be approached with great caution,” Yfat Barak-Cheney, executive director of the World Jewish Congress' Technology and Human Rights Institute
Zuckerberg, having gone all in on the Obama/ Biden train, not just with their zealous fact-checking army, but also to the tune of donating hundreds of millions of dollars to the 2020 Biden campaign, considered himself then a powerful political influencer. He loved it.
Now to come out and simply say, after purging and excommunicating countless Americans from his empire of sites, “mistakes were made” is laughable. He is a poster child for Quisling.
Why should he be treated differently than TikTok? He deserves to be stripped of his empire. It would be only just.
We all remember how many of Trump’s picks in the first Trump administration were far from loyal, (including his own VP), undermining him on countless occasions.
Let us pray this time around, he being much more cautious not to allow a repeat of such underhandedness, his picks are up to the job, which will be a massively critical undertaking taking out the enemy within.
Love your OJ-Aperol cocktail recipe -- and calling out more of the lying Biden administration's BS. Thanks, as always, for your sane POV.
Good on Zuck anyway no matter what the motivation. America has entered a new era.
I dont think it's necessary to rename the Gulf of Mexico but that's just me.

Right, because Facebook refusing to fact-check itself hasn’t already been responsible for a genocide in Myanmar…
