Ref. The FBI hiring DEI agents, times certainly have changed! when I took the exam in the late ‘90’s / early 2000’s, the exam was extremely challenging. It had college level math on it. They also administered the Wunderlich. Now, they are happy hiring agents that can’t write a report! Pathetic. No wonder there is no confidence in their capabilities.

Re: “ Kafka at the International Court of Justice”

What planet are we living on, really?

What is going on?

Who are these people or perhaps more accurately, What are they?

To say they are Evil just doesn’t seem to even come close.

Are there even words to describe such depths of depravity and such evil at all?

The entire world has turned into a madhouse.

Having consent from indigenous groups is not a bad thing. Depends how it’s implemented. In my home country, Guyana, this is how it’s done for the various indigenous groups that were colonized by Europeans. Everyone lives very well together.

The DEI movement is proving its inherent flaws by pushing/punishing anyone who still stands and works for quality of service by all recruits, employees, faculty and administrators. This is both a huge disservice to those pushed into positions for which educationally and technically they are not qualified, and to the demands and actual needs of the population being served. Tokenism always proves its own falsehoods. There is a substantive difference between well worked out standards of qualification for jobs/job descriptions, and the satisfying of politically righteous demands in an atmosphere that has failed to address the primary access and educational needs of Inequality. Does the FBI for instance or other agencies provide any prep programs that address the gap? Thinking of a funded program at my college in the 60s that gave college bound students from poor educational backgrounds

(regardless of color) an extra catch up year at the college before they dug into the regular curriculum.

Just when I thought the DEI circus was subsiding. Didn’t expect it from the American Museum of Natural History, a venerated and reasonable institution...

several years ago our Art Institute in Chicago let go of all the docents because they “didn’t represent the diversity of the Chicago region,” and many loyal patrons cancelled their memberships. But beyond that, unless scientists start speaking up en masse, I don’t know how this could end.
