The Qataris are doing God’s work and the Israelis are prolonging the war, according to Qatari whore Witkoff. A compromised clown who should never have been put in that position.
"It's you job to tell me what to think about..." No, a thousand times no, it is NOT.
It IS your job to report the facts, and the context, without advocating. The NYT, WaPo, and sadly (to me) the WSJ no longer are news organizations. I appreciate that The Scroll makes its pro-Israel stance apparent. I also appreciate your willingness to gently criticize Israel when you feel it is warranted.
But your essay tries to sell Tablet and The Scroll as the only news I need to be fully informed. That is simply nonsense. I need honest news brokers on both sides to report, so that I MAY DECIDE.
I am sadly a "no, thank you", to your invitation, mainly due to the cost. Have you considered pricing the Scroll separately from the magazine? I would pay a reasonable amount, $10 or less, for the Scroll.
Scroll/Tablet, it should tell you something that your ask for greater $ pay elicits the most posts on The Scroll I’ve seen in a long time.
You charge too much, I leave. You do have good content but if isn’t priced low, I ain’t buying. Your use of ‘shit’ and ‘bullshit’ as teasers isn’t working on this independent media consumer.
Jews have survived many dangerous enemies and now they will have to survive a dangerous friend, Donald Trump.
Trump has always acted the same way his entire life: if it benefits him in some way, he will help you, but if it benefits him in some other way, he will betray you. (This is also why I thought it was preposterous to claim he was a Russian asset: Trump is barely his own asset, never mind someone else's.) He is the world's largest and neediest infant, who can easily be bribed by the first person who comes along dangling a bright shiny toy with his name on it.
Now Israel will have to navigate the Scylla and Charybdis of the American political parties, the Republicans led by an erratic and mercenary con man and the Democrats, who are almost completely captive to the Islamo-Leftists, and who need "context" to oppose a massacre of Jewish civilians and who want Israel to atone itself out of existence to make amends for its "white privilege".
It looks like the West is once again about to abandon Jews to their many bloodthirsty enemies, but at least this time they're armed and prepared.
Trump is a power hungry narcissist who believes what is good for Trump is good for America, so in that sense he is for America first. Often he is correct about things, so it works out well for America. That, and the fact that Harris was clearly incompetent, is why I voted for Trump. When it comes to Israel, Trump #2 is clearly not the same man as Trump #1. Still, he is better than Harris or Biden would have been.
There is a form on the Tablet website where you can request to deduct what you paid in 2025 from the new subscription. Agree the jump from free to $250 is a bit bold.
I was so disappointed to see the subscription structure and pricing. I have no desire, at all, to receive a printed magazine in the mail, and I'm shocked that there isn't a digital-only option available for much less.
As a Canadian senior citizen on a limited income, there's absolutely no way that I can afford Tablet/Scroll's $250 (approx. my $350!) annual cost. Not to mention that my aging vision is such that I depend on the flexibility of virtual text (as opposed to glossy hard copy). In short, from (very much appreciated) free to $350 is a HUGE jump. While I shall certainly miss my daily doses of Tablet and The Scroll, unless an alternate solution can be offered, I will very sadly have to say au revoir.
It is understandable that you would charge a subscription fee for The Scroll, but anything over $80/year will result in lost readership and all your hard work will be seen by the scant few with the means and willing to pay more.
I love Tablet and have been reading you for years however as a 74 year old in a fixed income that will decrease next year $250 is far beyond my reach. It is also far beyond The Free Press and Racket News both if which are comparable. Plus which I live in Israel so a physical magazine is irrelevant for me. Hope you will reconsider and lower the price as I will miss you.
$250? I live overseas. So no magazine, at least for now, and if ever--way late. And all I want to read is The Scroll. Would be happy to pay for that. Keep The Scroll on Substack and charge a reasonable rate--$60 a year. You will be missed.
As for the new subscription policy, sadly I will not be able to afford such.
The Scroll has been one of the most valuable and essential sources of excellent reporting I read every day, and I will miss it sorely, as well as the extraordinary Tablet articles, if they too will now appear behind a paywall.
But only should I win the lottery will I then be able to subscribe.
BiBi needs to do whatever he knows needs to be done, Trump or no Trump. He’s no stranger to being vilified for doing so in the past, but his actions have always landed in Israel’s favor.
If Trump, (the US), doesn’t like it well, that’s nothing new for Israel. And by doing so he might just knock some sense into Trump, though that’s unlikely, as he doesn’t appreciate being made to look the fool.
The other possible event will be that of Iran or Hamas or any of the usual suspects doing something outrageous, (which they are naturally programmed to do), that will enrage Trump and bring him to his senses.
In any event, I believe, in spite of all visible signs to the contrary, that Israel now actually holds all the cards, if they are willing to play them.
i get that same sense, though not so much as a gamed out strategy but rather as an opportunity.
It’s could turn out that Israel becomes freed from ever living under the US wing, if handled judiciously. And BiBi is just the man to be able to pull that off.

I agree.. should be a special price for "just the Scroll, thank you!"
Scroll/Tablet, it should tell you something that your ask for greater $ pay elicits the most posts on The Scroll I’ve seen in a long time.

“Your use of ‘shit’ and ‘bullshit”—100% agree. Sinking pretty low there.

Trump is America first. You Clever are not. Nuff said.

1. What happened to the subscription I already had? 2. Kind of pricey.

I think you’ll get a return for your investment.

I LOVE the Scroll. I hope DAILY that MORE people will read.
I have subscribed to TABLET yearly, but it has never been $250.
Is there a subscription with digital scroll and articles with NO monthly print magazine? 🙏

Subscription cost is too high.
The Israelis have to act not worry about machinations in Trump world

I’m very sad.
Please formulate a price for just an e-subscription, for just the Scroll or both Scroll and Tablet. Thank you.
I love you Tablet and Scroll! Where you go I will go !

Or perhaps, this is all part of a longer game strategy which may be to Israel’s benefit in the future.

Why not clip the strings AND keep the alliance?
Amen to that. And make Israel the sole arbiter of what happens in their neighborhood.
