Liel's piece on Harvard is just another reason I look forward every afternoon to my copy of The Scroll in my inbox. Liel nails it. Enough with the hair pulling and angst. JUST LEAVE. No.more.endowments. We're never going to be "perfect Jews". Accept it and turn toward your people, our teachings and support our community. Thanks Liel and thanks Jacob.

Liel is a national treasure … or someone’s treasure …. (or a national something-or-other ... :) )

Harvard has been heading in this direction for over a decade. It’s been visible in large ways and small. Time to pull the plug. Their Hillel, once a proud place a mere 15 years ago, is now beleaguered, with a shrinking Jewish student body and ever growing hostility. And you should take a look across the Charles at BU ….

"Study the Gemara. Read the Tanya" Chob mir a break! By all means peruse a sugya which talks about Jewish slave-owning (Yes, the Tanach and Talmud accept/condone slave-holding as a valid social institution). And explore the Tanya's racist metaphysics, in which Gentiles are viewed as having different - read, inferior- souls than Jews. FYI: The latter explains why Lubavitch does not do conversion. And thus why the Chabad-affiliated Kushner family had to go to Haskell Lookstein, a Modern Orthodox rabbi, to get Ivanka converted.
