Trump and Witkoff should both realize that this is not a real estate deal that has gone sour, but rather an ideologically driven refusal and dynamic that can only be changed with the refusal and obliteration of Hamas

Lee Smith is 100% on the mark Trump should end the farce of these negotiations as well as the same farce with Iran

Lee has been the go-to guy on so many issues over the years … for me, he has been a constant reference point. No exaggeration … he foremost and some others at Tablet, essential.

If you see here on a Visa or green card you can be deported on far less evidence for violations of the terms of the visa or green card than would required for deportation of a citizen

Check the immigration laws If you are on a green card or without a green card due process does not have the same meaning as it has for full fledged citizens

That wasn’t clear. Rubio is suppressing free speech in this country while trying to crack down on lack of free speech in other countries. I guess free speech is fine as long as it’s in favor of Trump

Rubio is trying to avoid another incident such as what happened in Washington by a Hamas sympathizer

See the latest Rasmussen poll which proves that the isolationist view is not at all a majority view on dealing with Iran

I have mentioned this before but I feel moreso now than ever that there is something behind the seeming “stalling” and weird behavior by Trump and his administration on all our most active “war fronts”,

Ukraine, Gaza and Iran, which I think has everything to do with the depth and severity of damage that has been done to the Pentagon and our military over the last five+ years.

Add to that suspicion the huge pump of new funding in the Big, Beautiful Bill, it only appears m underline that sense for me. For one example, Biden severely depleted our own arms and defensive equipment in his aid sent to Ukraine, right down to the amount of bullets we have in our own arsenals, all

of which take a lot of time to recoup up to a wartime stance.

All that could very well explain some of the uncharacteristic, even inexplicable moves Trump seems to currently be making with regard to all these fronts that appear to conflict with much of his earlier messaging. He’s playing for time.

Hamas might regroup but can't rearm while Israel controls the Philadelphi Corridor on the Egyptian border, which the deal said would remain in Israeli hands.

Any deal that returns living hostages and allows Israel to resume the war is a win for Israel.

I'm happy Hamas did not agree to the terms. Macabre terms for certain. I have lost all objectivity, reasonability and humanity in the last 600 days. Watching murderers and rapists celebrate their depravity. Watching "civilians" dance in celebration of 2 dead little boys while Hamas played hide the corpse with their mother. Nuke the lot. No Quarter. There are no decent Palestinians. Sorry.

Amit Segal explained months ago that Hamas will never release all the hostages, and Netanyahu should have made it clear to the Israelis. What Witkoff and Trump are doing now is a farce. Maybe IDF should find a strategic timeframe as to when it needs it to obliterate Gaza.

As Andrew Sullivan pointed out this morning, irony is dead. Basically Rubio is suppress free speech to save free speech. Sad to see how far down Rubio has sunk.
