Please, Tablet, we need an expose on Chuck Schumer, so that it will be part of the historical record that he was a complete schmuck. He somehow manages to both stoke antisemitism, by loudly claiming to advocate for Jewish interests, and undermine Israel, by prioritizing partisan politics over principles.
It is a terrible deal but Israel needs the D9s and other equipment that the US has been slow walking thanks to Biden & Co and Trump has stated that all such slow walked equipment will be expedited to Israel as soon as he assumes home.
In US Law, any agreement reached “under duress”, is automatically considered null and void.
The Israeli’s are being forced to sign onto an agreement with literal guns, rockets and missiles - amongst many other fatal threats - aimed directly at their heads.
In an understatement of the century, the ceasefire agreement is a “bad faith” agreement and Israel should have every legal right to ignore it, signature or no signature.
More poor analysis from the Scroll. I'm starting wonder who this newsletter is for? Its certainly not for the mainstream right of center Israel supporter. The Lebanon deal is "terrible." How so? Hezbollah is devastated. Tunnel networks near the border destroyed. Leadership dead. What would the Scroll suggest Israel do? Occupy all of Lebanon? Reestablish a security zone in southern Lebanon? In the weird inverse of the hostage families demanding Israel strike a deal for the release of hostages while never stating what costs they'll accept (i.e. continued Hamas control of Gaza, withdrawal, etc), the Scroll just proclaims "its terrible" and moves on.
It is terrible because it is more of the same - returning to the unenforceable UN resolution 1701, with a few (ineffective) caveats. Hezbollah is devastated? How is so, they are firing rockets daily. Can thousands of civilians from the North return home safely? If not than Hezbollah is strong enough. Who is the mainstream right of center?
From what we know about the deal so far, it is terrible. Please listen carefully to what the author wrote. It is not Israel but the US who now decides whether Hezbollah is re-arming and moving closer to Israeli borders. That is not good especially so if the US administration is not friendly to Israel.
This US administration is literally- not figuratively - but literally in league with Israel’s enemies, namely Iran and the pretend Lebanon government, a/k/a, Hezbollah - NOT Israel.
They are by no means a neutral arbiter for peace, but are themselves in fact holding the entire state of Israel hostage and at gun point, to sign onto deal that is a farce on its face, with absolutely zero chance of establishing any kind of security for Israel, instead only enabling the rearming and regrouping of Hezbollah.
Hamas broke their purported ceasefire with Israel on October 7th, and it is only by a miracle that Hezbollah did not join in on that day AS THEY HAD BEEN PLANNING TO DO.
They must be rendered totally neutralized and sealed off from any abilities to attack Israel and this ceasefire ain’t gonna come close to assuring that.
Netanyahu is between a rock and hard place and this administration is doing all it can to tie his hands before they exit the scene.
It is truly diabolical.
We must pray that God makes a way for Israel to avoid having to sign onto what most certainly amounts to their own death warrant.
More than a few of Trump’s picks have, shall we say, given me pause. (For the record, I do not include Makary as one of these).
Some would not even have appeared on my list of potential prospects.
That being said, I cling to the hope that as many people from all stripes of the political divide have come to be awakened over the last few years to recognize the folly of those people and beliefs they once held, as has happened to millions in just the last four years, (like Kennedy, Gabbard and Musk, as examples), that this may hold true for these, in my opinion, questionable choices for critical positions in the Trump administration.
There is also the slightly reassuring comments made by Trump this go ‘round that he is far less averse now to say “You’re fired”, when anyone seems to stray from the reservation.

Sadly, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who became the first ever Jewish Senate majority leader, failed in his Esther Moment

For all of those who are clamoring for Ceasefires with modern-day terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hamas - here is an important history lesson:

Cease-fire negotiations will be inexplicably extended into the new US administration.
Here's to hoping.

Do better.
They're devastated yet are still an effective military force, I'm not for the ceasefire, continue fighting is my suggestion

"Occupy all of Lebanon?"
Well, what had to happen in Japan and Germany to get the death cults out?

Wow! I hadn’t heard the the murderers of Rabbi Kogan had been extradited back to the UAE!
That is most excellent news.
I continue to pray for the day that the diabolical Iranian regime be thoroughly and utterly destroyed.
