Liel Leibowitz hits the nail on the head This indictment smells of lawfare against someone who raised his voice on immigration and stood up to Hamas’s sympathizers on a college campus Perhaps it will be dismissed under the rationale of the McDonnell case

The funny thing about the entire Adams indictment is that they could - and would - use such tactics against pretty much any politician, anywhere, whenever they want to, as nearly every last one of them has taken what could be defined as favors or gifts from my number of persons or groups or what have you.

They dangle these lawfare tactics over their heads to keep them in line. Step out of line, and they’ll set out to ruin you any way they can.

Re: the Israel-”Lebanese” ceasefire proposal

Kind of interesting they threw in the UNSCR 1701 as if they’ve ever made “Lebanon” adhere to it.

Lee Smith is also spot on about the election timing (and scheming) behind this proposal as well.

And that’s exactly why Israel should do precisely the OPPOSITE of what they’re calling for if they want to gain and/or maintain any advantage over the situation.

After the election, God only knows what will happen, no matter who wins.

In McDonnell, Justice Roberts in the majority opinion wrote in relevant part:

"..we reject the Government's 2368*2368 reading of § 201(a)(3) and adopt a more bounded interpretation of "official act." Under that interpretation, setting up a meeting, calling another public official, or hosting an event does not, standing alone, qualify as an "official act."

"he question remains whether — as the Government argues — merely setting up a meeting, hosting an event, or calling another official qualifies as a decision or action on any of those three questions or matters. Although the word "decision," and especially the word "action," could be read expansively to support the Government's view, our opinion in United States v. Sun-Diamond Growers of Cal., 526 U.S. 398, 119 S.Ct. 1402, 143 L.Ed.2d 576 (1999), rejects that interpretation.

is apparent from Sun-Diamond that hosting an event, meeting with other officials, or speaking with interested parties is not, standing alone, a "decision or action" within the meaning of § 201(a)(3), even if the event, meeting, or speech is related to a pending question or matter. Instead, something more is required: § 201(a)(3) specifies that the public official must make a decision or take an action on that question or matter, or agree to do so

But conscientious public officials arrange meetings for constituents, contact other officials on their behalf, and include them in events all the time. The basic compact underlying representative government assumes that public officials will hear from their constituents and act appropriately on their concerns — whether it is the union official worried about a plant closing or the homeowners who wonder why it took five days to restore power to their neighborhood after a storm. The Government's position could cast a pall of potential prosecution over these relationships if the union had given a campaign contribution in the past or the homeowners invited the official to join them on their annual outing to the ballgame. Officials might wonder whether they could respond to even the most commonplace requests for assistance, and citizens with legitimate concerns might shrink from participating in democratic discourse."

Look at who is howling for Adams' head-the ususal woke suspects-then look at the proof and the indictment-one can argue that the US Attorney is clearly pushing beyond the edge of the legal envelope of the rationale and holding of McDonnell, especially if as Adams attorney claims there was no receipt of foreign dollars.

Liel Leibovitz’s article is spot on. Strangely, it took the Dems a lot longer to pressure Cuomo to resign, even though the data on his actions related to handling COVID in the state was easily accessible. And then he was pressured to admit guilt for grabbing ass, never for causing deaths of way too many people…

Seth Baron’s non-article about Adam’s indictment is merely a laundry list of what Adam’s did wrong according to Barron. Maybe write about what’s next, because as far as support for Israel, we might be in deep trouble as far as his replacement goes.

And they made them sleep in a car park garage during that entire deployment instead of a hotel or other human accommodation.

“ steps that a lame-duck Biden administration could take”

Forget lame duck!

I recently read that they’ve already shut off access to Israel from any US Intelligence.

These creatures are hideous and diabolical.
