If, as stated, ideological correctness is more important then test scores in college applications, that could be the new way of discriminating against Asians and Jews. Children from high class/expensive schools are certainly becoming well versed in what could be the new college criteria.

Excellent analysis. There are reasons why we are seeing more Republican candidates who are Jewish, South Asian, East Asian and Black. Ultimately ethnic solidarity end equal opportunity are more appealing to minorities than a government-mandated "equity." As for those who believe that African Americans should not compete with hard work and skills, as well as academically, to contribute to the larger society, are promoting a separatist agenda. Perhaps they are following the model of how America treated its Native peoples, separate and dependent upon minuscule government support. What could go wrong?

It's not bizarre: in the "progressive" mindset, success = evil. Bearer of "white privilege" really just means, successful people, of whatever background. Most white people in the US are not descendants of slaveholders. (Mostly, that was a fairly small group of Southern whites in 1865, in control of a Southern economy that was a single-digit percentage of US GDP when slavery ended -- the South, people -- it was agrarian, backwards, and poor for another century afterward.)

This is also why the "progressive" mindset supports the lawless anarchy at the southern border (with organized crime smuggling people, drugs, and weapons) while maintaining growing hostility toward legal (i.e., real) immigrants. It's a lawless movement that supports lawlessness. The gerontocratic leadership of the Democratic party caves in to this stuff with mumblings about ... systemic racism, or whatever.

"It would be far better to make use of the Jewish and Asian experience to prove how any ethnic group in America can overcome discrimination and prejudice by focusing on thrift, hard work, and education."

Isn't a crucial orthodoxy of the new dispensation that the marginalized can never be responsibilitized?

Unlike the ample evidence for the Jews, where is the evidence on discrimination against and hate for Asians except at some overrated top tier Universities? White supremacists and progressives dont seem to have a problem with Asians in fact the opposite. The only Asian group that gets discriminatory treatment these days IMO are the Chinese Americans because of Covid and the CCP.
