They are deliberately putting Israel in between a rock and a hard place, using the hostage situation and grief of the their families as emotional blackmail, to abet and prolong Hamas’ murderous campaign.
If it were up to me I’d demand the unconditional release of ALL the hostages, not just some, to occur within a 24-48 hour window. They should not to be allowed to be used as pawns affording Hamas’ an opportunity to prolong their survival and ability to reconnoiter - they are suffering, innocent human beings beings horrifically snatched from their homes, not to be haggled over.
The WP story may be speculative as the IDF has after giving Hamas 12 hours to surrender sent troops on a raid into the hospital to find and rescue the hostages
